‘México Bárbaro 2’ is an anthology of short horror films modernizing well-known Mexican legends. For this project, I co-wrote and co-directed the segment ‘Fire Balls’ inspired by the tale of the witches of Michoacán. ‘Fire Balls’ tells the story of two pretentious film students who, about to fulfill their dream of filming a porn movie, discover that the actresses they hired are not what they seem. Other directors in the anthology are Michelle Garza (Huesera), Lex Ortega (Atroz), Carlos Meléndez (Hysteria), Fernando Urdapilleta (Lonely Stars), and Diego Cohen (Perdidos). The movie was at the Fantaspoa International Horror Film Festival in Brazil, Sitges International Film Festival in Spain, and Mórbido International Horror Film Festival in México. It is available worldwide on Amazon Prime Video.
